PANTS, MORE FORMAL THAN JEANS

In the "pants" category, there are two main types:
  • Chinos, made from cotton canvas,
  • And suit pants, most often made of wool.
There are other models like the cargo pants (also called mesh, with its two pockets on the side) or even the pleated pants, but they are not part of the basics per se.
The main quality guarantees of good pants are thick pocket bags, stopping points on the edge of the pockets (equivalent to rivets on jeans), buttons in natural materials (horn, wood, etc.) or still solid zips (YKK produces very good ones).

For the choice of size, just make sure that there is no excess material at the thighs, and that the belt follows the lines of your body (without yawning). If it is classic pants, suit, it is better to make a hem at a retoucher rather than rolling it.

Question style, the chinos is really an essential piece. It is lighter than jeans, therefore perfect for summer, but above all very versatile. It fits both in casual and dressy outfits.

In addition, there is a wide choice of colors for this particular room. Be careful, it is not easy to venture into strong color associations when you start. It is better to choose a beige or navy blue chinos (at the start, at least), very easy to marry.
