Shoes designate a pair of shoes, very often in leather, with a rigid sole regularly enhanced by a small heel. It is notably opposed to the sneaker.
A nice pair of shoes should also be a must have  in the male wardrobe. Whether it is to complement a costume or to bring elegance to a casual outfit, you can not ignore it!

  • The quality of the leather : it should be soft, smooth, regular and have beautiful natural reflections in the light (if your pair shines brightly, it is a bad sign);

Wide Choice of Shoes:

Regarding aesthetics, there is a wide choice of shoes suitable for different occasions or styles. We have already dealt with the question  but here is a summary of the really basic pairs to have:
  • The Richelieu : their characteristic is the lacing directly placed on the body of the shoe. These are the most dressed shoes, to wear mainly with a suit. Other associations are very risky, especially when you are just starting out.
  • Derby shoes: this time, the lacing is placed on a leather yoke different from the body of the shoe. They are more relaxed and above all very versatile. They go very well with a suit, chinos or even jeans.
These two pairs are essentials in the male wardrobe. If you only have to own one, perhaps prefer derby shoes that you can more easily adapt to different occasions. At work, for a ceremony or even to spend Sunday with step-mom, they will follow you everywhere.
There are other pairs of dress shoes such as double buckles or ankle boots, but we are moving away from the basic. However, they represent a very good alternative for those looking for a little originality;
We can also think of moccasins, very popular in summer, but which are still quite difficult to use in everyday clothes (when you are not yet used to wearing shoes). It is not necessarily the first pair to own, although it may come later.
What about desert boots? These small low boots - recognizable by their rubber sole, their seams all around the shoe and their often suede leather - have also established themselves as a basic for men.
They are comfortable and comfortable to wear but also very versatile! It is a very good alternative to sneakers,  which do not always go with everything.
